Let's Catch Up [again]

So, since March... you know, about 8 months ago... I've clearly failed at this whole blog within my portfolio thing. But that happens when you're working two jobs and going to school I guess. Anyway...

Since March.

I qualified 23rd in the Purdue Grand Prix! The race was pretty amazing. For my first race, I was definitely happy with how things went. I ran well and after a few minor setbacks, finished 13th in the field of 33! Definitely looking forward to the race again this spring. So ready, in fact, that I couldn't wait until spring. This fall, I competed in a four race series hosted by Whiteland Raceway Park, about half an hour south of Indianapolis. Between my 2nd place finish, two 3rds, and a 4th, I rounded out the series in second place overall! Its kinda cool to have a mantle full of trophies right now. :)

This summer.

I started a new serving job in March at a cool bar/restaurant in Lafayette, Sgt. Preston's of the North. I worked nights there all summer and during the day had an internship at Purdue's Exhibit Design Center, working on interactives and graphics for several Indiana State Fair bound exhibits. It was a busy summer to say the least.

Final Year of Graduate School.

Since then, I began my third and final year as an Interaction Design student. I'm very excited for my thesis project [less excited for my thesis paper]. I've gotten user research completed, concepts developed, and my {final} project chosen and started. I'm sure it will evolve into something incredible before my exhibition in March - that sounds so much closer when it's put in writing!

Yikes! Time to get back to work.
